The Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) is a non-profit municipal organization that provides potable water, sewerage services and other environmental services to the Hartford metropolitan area. We are accepting resumes for the position of District Patrol Officer.
Duties of this police officer position include patrolling District property, investigating incidents, controlling crowds and directing traffic.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent plus five years of experience in patrol or related work. Candidates will be evaluated in accordance with the State of Connecticut Municipal Police Training Council requirements. Applicant must be a State of Connecticut Police Academy graduate. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours weekly with a rotating schedule to include all shifts. Benefits include vacation, sick and holiday pay, health and dental insurance, and a pension plan. Starting salary of $52,728 plus shift differentials.
